* Registration with Himachal Pradesh State Chess Association is must for players from Himachal Pradesh. Players from Himachal Pradesh will have to pay Registration Fee of Rs 200 to HP State Chess Association in addition to the entry fee and AICF Registration, if any.

 Last Date of Entry: 31st August 2009

No request towards waiver of entry fee will be entertained.

Entries through Crossed Bank Demand Draft in favour of Himachal Pradesh Chess Association payable at SBI Shimla should reach to Mr Sita Ram Sharma, Treasurer, Himachal Pradesh Chess Association, Opposite Municipal Council, Theog, District Shimla (H.P.) INDIA-171201 by the due date.

Registration with AICF

AICF Registration is must for all participants. Those players who are not registered with the AICF may register themselves at the venue also. The registration fee will be accepted at the venue for the convenience of the players. AICF Registration Fee is Rs. 250. This is in addition to the Entry Fee mentioned above.

Tournament Rules

The tournament will be conducted as per the latest FIDE laws of chess. The Decision of the Chief Arbiter shall be final & binding on all.

Accommodation

  1. Free unfurnished dormitory accommodation for all out stationed players.
  2. Free furnished accommodation for players rated 2300 and above on sharing basis.

Clocks

All the players must bring their own chess clocks.

Weather

The weather is expected to be pleasant but cold in Shimla during September. The minimum / maximum temperature will be around 10 to 26 degrees Celsius.

For AICF Secretary

Hon'ble Secretary, AICF shall have the discretion of nominating three chess players from anywhere in India having inherent potential but lacking financial means. Such players would be our honoured guests and their traveling expenses (II class with reservation charges) lodging & boarding will be borne by the organizers. No entry fee shall be chargeable from them.

Important Note:

  1. A player can not win more than one prize. He will get only the highest.
  2. Prizes will not be shared.
  3. Prizes will be distributed cash in Indian Rupees.
  4. Any change in timings of rounds or prizes etc. will be displayed at the venue before the commencement of the tournament.
