Biography
World Records:
Broke an existing World Record in Static Wall Sit in September 1992. His World Record was entered in the Guinness Book of Records (UK)-1994 at page no. 268 under the Chapter “Gymnastics”. The achievement was also entered in the Limca Book of Records (India)-1994.

International Participation:
Represented India in International Keyboarding Competition (Text Production by PC)-2006 organized by Intersteno, Belgium in May 2006.

National Arbiter in Chess:
Qualified National Arbiter’s Examination in Chess in August 2005. The First National Arbiter in Chess from Himachal Pradesh (India).

Chief Arbiter:
Acts as Chief Arbiter in all major Chess Tournaments in Himachal Pradesh.
Recently acted as Arbiter in the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti National Chess Championship-2011 held at Chandigarh in September 2011.

Coaching in Chess:
i) Chess trainees include Mr Sanjeev Vekta-a Prize Winner at International Level Chess Championship (he bagged prize for third best unrated chess player at Parsvnath International Open Chess Championship in New Delhi in 2007). He also remained Under-25 Chess Champion of Himachal Pradesh.
ii) Acted as Coach of NVS National Chess Team that participated in 57th SGFI National School Games Chess Championship at Jabalpur (MP) in September 2011.
iii) Acted as Coach of NVS Region Chess Team that participated in NVS National Chess Championship -2010 at Delhi.
ii) Acted as Coach of Under-19 Chess team of Himachal Pradesh that participated in the 29th National Junior (U-19) Chess Championship held in Tamil Nadu in 1999. This was the first ever participation by the H.P. Junior Chess players in any FIDE Rated Chess Championship.

Chess Team Selector:
Acted as Team Selector of NVS Chandigarh Region Teams of Boys U14, U17 & U19 and Girls U14, U17 & U19 for NVS National Chess Meet-2010 (Delhi) and NVS National Chess Championship-2011 (Chandigarh).

Chess Team Manager:
Acted as Team Manager of Himachal Pradesh Chess Team that participated in the 29th National Junior (U-19) Chess Championship held in Tamil Nadu in 1999. This was the first ever participation by the H.P. Junior Chess players in any FIDE Rated Chess Championship.
Acted as Team Manager of NVS, Chandigarh Region Team Chess Team of Boys U-14, U-17 & U-19 and Girls U-14, U-17 & U-19 for NVS Nationals-2010 (Delhi)

Chess Publicity & Media Coordinator: 
Acts as Publicity & Media Coordinator for Snow City International Rating Chess Tournament (Shimla), the biggest chess tournament of Himachal Pradesh (India)

Inspiration & Guidance in Adventure Cycling & Athletics:
Guided seven youths of Himachal Pradesh to enter the Limca Book of Records in various adventure/youth activities including :
i) Five Adventure Cyclists of Himachal Pradesh who cycled from The Mall, Shimla to Siachen and back. This adventurous National Record was placed in the Limca Book of Records-2000. 
ii) a boy of seven years named Ajay Sharma did 1765 Squats (Sit Ups) in just 35 minutes on Independence Day Celebration Function in 1995 before a gathering of around 15000 people at Theog (Shimla). This National Record was also placed in the Limca Book of Records-1998.
